I'd like to thank everyone at ACC for a great product.  I've been wearing one of your standard dot models since last summer.  April 18th, about 10:45 pm, I was rearended by a drunk who was evading arrest, and traveling well in excess of one hundred miles per hour.  I was ejected from the bike, and somehow ended up nearly 280 ft down the road, still on the asphalt. 

I was wearing full leathers, and the ACC.  Only by the grace of God and a good quality helmet am I able to write this today. The helmet took three very hard blows, spider cracking in all three spots, but it stayed on, it stayed together, and it did not break.  Both the State Patrol officer, and one of the paramedics that worked the scene ride, and they both wanted your number so they could order one, so we got it out of the helmet for them.  The paramedic said that in the biggest percentage of the accidents he works, dot half helmets either break completely in two, or come off of the riders head.  Mine did neither, saving my life, I am certain.

I have already received my new helmet, thanks a bunch Erin, it fits perfect, even better than the last one.  Hopefully in good time I'll be well enough to ride again, and you can be certain that I will not be riding anyplace, anytime, without my ACC, helmet laws or no helmet laws.

In June 2005 I did not wear a helmet, believed in freedom of choice and all the excuses that go along with it, but on June 2nd 2005 a person on a cell phone failed to yield right of way and T-Boned me and my wife on my new Ultra. Long story short I was air flighted to the Littlerock trauma center from Fayetteville AR. where the accident occurred. I had serious head injury which resulted in 17 hours of reconstructive surgery and resulted in the loss of vision in my left eye, my wife had a very serious crushed right leg.

After recover I heard about you light weight product and ordered a DOT Extended Half which I loved from the start.  Well here is the reason I really love the helmet, on March 7th this year a 19 year old turned in front of me and I had no choice but to lay the Road King down, my body hit the pavement at 40 MPH first striking my helmet on the left side (same exact area as my prior surgery) then my left side where I broke 4 ribs and had deep soft tissue trauma. I am recovering quickly, my Road King was totaled but I am here to ride another day thanks to the wonderful people and product at ACC. I want to thank Erin and Carbon Fiber Helmets, I ordered my non dot extended half on a Monday and by Wednesday this helmet was in my hands it was amazing how fast i received my helmet. I just had to write and tell you how thrilled I am with this helmet.  WELL WORTH THE WAIT AND PRICE OF ADMISSION! It is THE most comfortable helmet I've ever owned, bar none! If feels like it was molded specifically for my head, it's that comfortable.  I've been through quite a few helmets, full face, Skid Lid, NexL,  and novelty, nothing has come close to this. I've been searching high and low for about a year for a new helmet, since I dropped my last "comfortable" novelty helmet from waist height and it cracked like an egg. Talk about a wake up call. I checked out dealerships, swap meets, and specialty shops and could never find one that "felt right".   Then a buddy of mine scored one of your helmets in Laconia last year it looked good, so I asked him the name so I could try to find one back home. Did a websearch and found you guys, glad I did. Consider me a volunteer salesman, fan and future returning customer.

My wife and I recently bought two of your DOT helmets with visors. WOW, what a difference. It is comfortable, and I can wear it without my hat and I don't get that terrible itching helmet head. What is really nice is that I don't look like I have a turtle sitting on my head anymore. It's nice to have something that looks cool and still provides protection.

Just wanted to drop a line to tell you that I am very happy with your product. I ordered your gloss black DOT helmet. To give you some history on how I got your helmet. Well you were not my first choice. Sorry, but I was not informed at the start of this. I went with NXT helmets, BIG MISTAKE!! After about a month waiting for my order I started getting upset!! I called them and they couldn't even tell me the status of my order. What could I do? Well I started looking for stores that carried that helmet. To my amazement every store that had carried this helmet laughed at me!! They said good luck getting it they are always on back order.

Now I am two months into this and started looking online. I came across your site and I liked your helmet even more!! But my thought at this time is after two months do I want to start over!! Then I gave NXT one more call. thats all it took!! I canceled my order with them and called you guys. I then made a mistake when I orderd your helmet, I wanted the DOT helmet but got the novelty one. So I called your customer service and they said just send it back and you will get me the one I was looking for. Now at this point I am getting ready to go on vacation and wanted to have my new helmet so I could use it during my vacation. So I called you again and you guys were on top of it. I received my helmet a few days later.

My wife and I were involved in a serious motorcycle accident last Labor Day weekend.  I slowed for a flock of wild turkeys crossing the road ahead; my wife was looking away at the time and ran into me a 55 mph. She suffered a broken arm and various bruises.  I had three broken ribs, a punctured lung, broken collar bone and a broken thumb.  What I thought you would be interested in is that we were both wearing your DOT helmets and neither of us suffered any head injuries.  I've attached pictures of the damaged helmets. As you can see, my wife's helmet is really beat up. I struck my head as well, as evident by the chip and scratch on the right side.

Our friends were so impressed with our light-weight carbon fiber helmets and the way they protected is that ordered them as well.

I just talked to Erin at you facility and ordered two replacement helmets.  I've recovered from my injuries and am riding again.  My wife is still doing physical therapy and will probably just be a passenger for a while.

I had shopped and considered your helmets for some time and was thrilled to hear about your DOT approved. I came in Thursday, April 13 and purchased 2 of your DOT helmets. The buying experience was fantastic. From Erin at the front desk to Jason who helped me get fitted and showed me the DOT SPIKE! My husband and I rode most of the weekend (as usual) and couldn't believe the difference your helmet made. I didn't struggle once with a headache! I actually took my windshield off my Fatboy and enjoyed the ride! I am having an adjustment made to the straps this week (D clips instead of quick disconnect). Head Trip Helmet's is AWESOME to deal with! Word of mouth is the best advertisement and I am a talker!

DAMN...    Received my DOT helmet today...I only ordered it a week ago...Anthony said you folks were backlogged...figured a month to month and a half...wish more companies were as efficient, friendly and helpful as yours!  As for the helmet...exceeded my expectations. I had previously ordered a "Skid Lid", big mistake, built hastily, liner didn't line up with shell, etc., and claiming to be the smallest helmet on the market. The helmet you folks provide is everything you said it would be and more!!!! Got rid of the mushroom head, it's light, comfortable, quick connect a plus and the workmanship is flawless (a rare thing these days in fiberglass/composite materials).  My helmet, errrr hats off to your company and product...keep up the great work!!!

I got my non-DOT helmet a couple of weeks ago. I have never liked wearing a helmet if I didn't have to, and because I live in a no-helmet-law state I never did. However a significant person in my life made me promise that when I got my new bike I'd wear a helmet. I ordered a helmet from another company and it was crap. Sent it back and then with a little research found your web sight. This little half-helmet is comfortable, light weight, doesn't interfere with peripherals and beast of all looks cool. It keeps my head warm and with the leather ear pads my ears too. This spring I'll be ordering a second one for summer riding. So from now on I will always be riding wearing one of your helmets. And your prices are very reasonable for the quality of it.

I've looked and tried on several DOT approved half shell helmets and I was getting quite discouraged! not only with comfort BUT! also with god awful looks of looking like a "mushroom head"...so! I thought to myself maybe I'll just bite the bullet purchase the cheaper  DOT half shell and live with my buddies relentlessly teasing me about looking like a vegetable on a bad ass custom Pro Street, that would have been a mistake!!! Finally after checking out your website it was recommended to talk to a customer service rep (she was very helpful) and she pointed me to the right direction, needless to say when I received my helmet it's looks and comfortable fit went beyond my expectation!! the extra money spent was well worth it. Your Head Trip helmets are worth their weight in gold and then some!!!

A heart felt THANK YOU for a quality product (polo carb31/kevlar). Several years ago I purchased a helmet from you and this past Thursday night (11/10/05) another driver felt compelled to join my lane. With limited time, the ditch became my only safe option. With your helmet I survived with only minor bruising, although my custom bike didn't fair as good. I was able to walk away and got my bike back home. The doctors at the military hospital were all amazed at the minor damage and no sustained injury to my neck or head, the helmet took it all. My wife thanks you too.... I plan on getting another helmet from you, although my ride needs more of my attention right now.  Keep up the great job

just wanted to say that your helmet saved my husbands life. I bought him a carbon helmet from you earlier this year per his request. Last Wednesday he was involved in a motorcycle accident while wearing the helmet. He flew 25 feet into the air onto the ground hitting his head. The helmet did crack but he only sustained a minor skull fracture. If that had been a non dot approved helmet he would have died on the spot. Fortunately he is very much alive and is coming home from the hospital this week.

I got my ACC DOT helmet today. I was told to expect it to take 10-14
days and it took MUCH less than that. That's fantastic customer service.
I was always told to under promise and over deliver. So that was the
first pleasant surprise.

Once I opened the package, I got another pleasant surprise. The helmet
is very good looking and appears to be very well made. I tried it on and
it fit exactly right. My initial response is that I love it.
I've spent a lot of money on helmets and haven't been happy with any of
them and haven't been able to return them. You made a point of saying
you've got a "no questions asked" return policy. Of course, the one
helmet I don't WANT to return is yours. Another great customer service
point.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be wearing it a lot. I expect my
opinion of it to go up and will let you know how I feel. I run a small
business and getting feedback (positive and or negative) is very
important to me so I try and pass it along (I have no idea of the size
of your company).

I rarely write to a company with my likes or dislikes about a product that I have purchased, but in this case I feel inclined to do so simply because the product is everything I hoped it would be and more. I've been riding motorcycles for 35 years and have never owned a helmet that is so light and fits so well, that I barely know it is there. Being a strong advocate for free choice and anti-mandatory helmet laws, I nevertheless believe that if one chooses to wear a helmet than it should be one that provides a certain level of protection. In California where we all have to wear helmets regardless of personal choice, I see many of my friends wearing either the large, heavy DOT approved buckets that break your neck after a couple of hours, or the thin almost non-existent half-shells that offer no real protection. Your carbon fiber extended half-shell is the answer-you get a thin, light shell which fits snugly and comfortably, with the strength of carb31 fiber which offers serious protection should the worst occur. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and recommend your product to anyone that is looking for value and quality in a light and protective helmet. Thank you!

I purchased a DOT approved helmet from you guys back mid May. I wore it all the way from Pensacola, Fl to Austin Tx and back. Yours is the 5th helmet I've bought since 1999. If I had bought yours first I would have saved myself a bunch of money. It's so comfortable and lightweight that I forget I have it on even. My wife likes it because at least I wear my helmet all the time now... It's so comfortable and lightweight that I forget I have it on and don't mind wearing it. Thanks for a superior product.

I recently purchased your DOT half helmet to replace my old 
fiberglass model. When buying new equipment I usually try it out 
before a long run, not so this time around. When I left I had sized 
it and trimmed the strap, but had not worn it for any distance. After 
completing a 2500 mile trip in 90 to 100 degree heat I can honestly 
say this is the lightest most comfortable half helmet I've ever 
owned. It's the best thing next to wearing no helmet at all. Have you 
considered making a model with a removable leather neck curtain for 
cold weather use? If you do count me in, I'll buy one in a heartbeat 
as long as it's built as well as this one. By the way, what Kim told 
me was right on the money. What you see is what you get, and it's 
definitely worth having.

Hi,

I I just wanted to drop a line about your carb31 fiber helmets.  I've had 5 helmets in 1 1/2 years because I couldn't find one that felt good as well as looked good.  Well now I found it.  I bought the silver mesh carb31 fiber helmet and I love it!  The removable pads make it possible to wear a head rag, or even a reversed ball cap under the helmet and the light weight makes it enjoyable to wear.

I'll be keeping this one a long time!

Hey guys.

I purchased a helmet of yours about 2 months ago (little
less). One thing that always annoyed me about the DOT half-helmets was I felt like a bobble-head because they were all so friggin' huge (I don't have a small head). So I researched, throught long and hard and decided to go with a non-DOT. The only ones I could find who had something slick and provided some protection was yours. I was a little unsure on the sizing, like I said, my skull's none too small, but the person I talked to on the phone steered me in the right direction.
I love it. It gives me a level of comfort I know I wouldn't get in a
plastic shell and its physically more comfortable than my Skid Lid or
HJC half-helmets.

Unlike my brother riders, when I cross into a state without a helmet
law, I don't take it off. I have this thing about my noggin' bouncing
against the pavement. But with it's nice style and lightweight, I don't
feel compelled to take it off.

This letter is to all of the employees at ACC. You all had a hand in saving my life yesterday. On my way to work yesterday morning, a car pulled out in front of me. I hit the car at about 25-30 mph. I flew over the car, and landed on my head. I was 6 feet off of the ground, and traveled about 10 feet in the air. I hit the pavement HEAD FIRST! Witnesses to the accident were expressing their disbelief that I was able to get up. I heard one couple talking..."did you see him flying through the air? He landed on his head! I can't believe he is walking around!..."    The insurance adjuster and the bike shop has been throwing around words like "total loss" when they speak of my bike. It was a 2003 Yamaha V-Star Silverado with tons of chrome goodies. To total a bike as new as mine, well, you know the damage to it must be severe.  I received a sprained ankle, and an "acute cervical sprain" (I sprained my neck). Also, just a little road rash. I received this helmet about a week ago, and I truly believe that your product is the reason that I am able to write to you this morning. What is really amazing, the helmet doesn't show any sign of damage, other than taking the paint off (I painted it with a chameleon metal-flake).     

I am the Assistant Chaplain for ABATE, Independence Chapter. We boast a membership of over 1550 members, making us the largest chapter in the nation. I wear the colors of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, and I have my own ministry. I see hundreds of bikers on a weekly basis, many of whom choose to exercise their right not to wear a helmet. I make too many hospital visits, some of which could have been prevented by the use of a helmet. I always encourage the use of helmets. Well, guess whose helmets I am going to recommend. You people make a quality product. It is by God's grace that I am alive, but it is your helmet that kept my head from injury. Thank you hardly seems sufficient, but I can't really find the words to express my gratitude. I wish ACC the best, and my family and myself thank you.

I've been a long time rider and, by far, your helmet is the most comfortable one I've ever owned.  Just after receiving it I rode from my home in Massachusetts to the annual rally and races in Laconia, New Hampshire.  It felt like I had a ball cap on the whole way.  In fact, it was so comfortable I ended up wearing it for most of the week while I was there (no helmet laws in NH).

I am writing this to let you know how impressed I was with my helmet that I purchased from you.
I purchased it one month prior to my motorcycle accident. I was going 50-55 mph when I hit a series of potholes in the road. I Lost control and went over the handlebars and crashed. I have multiple fractures in my wrist in my left arm and also 30 stitches in that elbow. In my right hand one finger received 5 stitches and a partially torn tendon. And lots of road rash. You can see that the helmet took two hits and I never received any head damage. I am very happy that I had bought your product. My 2000 FXDX Harley has $7000 worth of damage but is not totaled. I have been and will continue to recommend your helmet to every bike rider that I know.

I received my new extended half helmet today and all I can say is what a great helmet. Needless to say my old one which finally gave up the ghost had to go. I went back to makers web site only to find some disturbing facts about the helmet I had bought years ago so replacing what I had grown use to even though it looks as if I shouldn't have been wearing it in the first place it wasn't going to be easy or so I thought. After visiting your web site and seeing what you had to offer I did have questions on sizing. With the experience I had with what I'll call off the self names the large was to small and the extra large was to big which I felt would ride back once the wind got under it and they all seem to sit on top of my head as if it was some type of growth the person on the phone was a big help and then to find out that yours came with three different thicknesses of liners it was perfect. But unfortunately I can not remember her name.
